Nick "Old Soul" Spencer

New England blues guitarist and singer
Nick "Old Soul" Spencer is a 17-year-old blues musician from New Hampshire, who plays in a distinctive style mixing blues with jazz, funk, rock, and fusion. He has written and performed original songs in various venues across New England. In 2023, he was selected as the youth representative for the Granite State Blues Society, and represented New Hampshire at the 2024 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Nick is a member of the noted New England blues band Frankie Boy & The Blues Express, and has had the privilege of sitting in and playing with many great blues musicians, including the Delta Generators, One Dime Band, Jerry "the Reverend" Paquette, and Boston blues legend Toni Lynn Washington. Renowned bass player and vocalist Mickey Maguire gave Nick the "Old Soul" moniker, and calls him "the future of the blues."Â
